Project Description

ExeDot is used as a smart home app to control and navigate the appliances the user can add or currently have in residence that are located indoors or outdoors. The resident may also add themselves as the user to the profile located on app upon setting up the important information to ensure the app can keep the user protected and welcomed in their home without any malfunctions.

My Role

As a Designer, it is my role to create an applications that is part of the user-centric that will make connecting, controlling, and using smart home devices useful, relevant, and enjoyable for the resident for their home.

The Challenges


  • Connectivity to the internet through the device crucial.
  • To ensure the app is functioning properly and simple for the user to access and use in their space.
  • Making sure the Smart Home App is compatible with other brands of applications and essentials.

    • The Problem

    Connecting bluetooth to applications from a distance using the app's scanner page.

    The Solution

    Made sure the appliances were all up to date through their own brands for ExeDot to connect the all the devices that are avaiable or add through bluetooth and Wi-fi.
